FiRST was conceived to meet the requirement of the UK FRS and is now an award winning technology, achieving international interest.
Attendance of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Symposium, and the Nordic Fire and Safety Days has provided expressions of interest from FRS, Fire training establishments and specialist Fire consultants who are keen to learn of Innovation and AI being applied to enhance the safety of Firefighters.
IntelliMon has seen significant interest for the North American market, visiting FDIC and receiving its Innovation Award for Technology and networking at the Fire-Rescue International (FRI) exhibition in the USA, awarded by the International Fire Buyer Magazine In July. The award was made in recognition of innovative technology and Richard Papanicoloau, Managing Director of STS Defence, said “We are very honoured to receive this innovation award in recognition of the hard work undertaken by our researchers and developers, in developing this ground breaking technology.”
Following on from the FDIC interest, FiRST was tested extensively at a US Fire Training centre, demonstrating to end users, the ground breaking capabilities under multiple flashover conditions. This follows on from similar tests at the UK Fire College, collecting extensive expert end-user feedback which is helping to refine the technology.
Safety for Firefighters is a global concern and FiRST is The technology that could make a real difference. The Software is now in its final test phase and should be available to the market in early 2018.
